Sneakers & Stilettos™
Are We Two People in One? Am I the Saint and the Sinner?
Are We Two People in One?
The Sneaker and the Stiletto
Some days, I feel like I am two women living in one body.
Not in a broken way.
In a real way.
Because there are days I wake up and I am the sneaker—
grounded, steady, practical.
I move through life with quiet strength, choosing comfort, choosing peace, choosing what makes sense.
And then there are days I am the stiletto—
sharp, elevated, unapologetic.
I walk into rooms with presence, with edge, with a kind of fire that refuses to shrink.
And somewhere in between those two…
I used to wonder:
Which one is the real me?
The Sneaker
The sneaker is the version of me that knows how to survive.
She is reliable.
She is strong in a quiet, unspoken way.
She doesn’t need attention—she just keeps going.
She is the woman who rebuilt herself slowly, piece by piece.
The one who learned discipline when life got hard.
The one who chose healing when it would’ve been easier to stay broken.
She is soft in the ways that matter.
She forgives. She reflects. She grows.
She’s the one who says,
“Take your time. You’ll get there.”
She doesn’t rush the process.
She understands pain, because she has lived in it.
The sneaker is my saint.
The Stiletto
But the stiletto…
The stiletto is the version of me that refuses to be overlooked.
She is bold.
She is sharp.
She doesn’t ask for space—she takes it.
She is the energy that walks into a room and shifts it.
The confidence that says,
“I’ve been through too much to play small now.”
She doesn’t always choose softness.
She chooses power.
She remembers every time I was underestimated.
Every time I felt small, unseen, dismissed.
And she made a promise:
Never again.
The stiletto is my sinner—
not because she is wrong,
but because she is raw, unfiltered, and unwilling to be anything less than fully expressed.
The Conflict
For a long time, I thought I had to choose.
Be the sneaker—humble, grounded, “good.”
Or be the stiletto—bold, intense, “too much.”
Because the world loves to label women.
If you’re soft, you’re weak.
If you’re strong, you’re intimidating.
If you’re both… you’re confusing.
So I tried to separate them.
I tried to be only the sneaker in moments that required strength.
I tried to silence the stiletto when she felt too loud, too sharp, too unapologetic.
But silencing parts of yourself doesn’t create peace.
It creates tension.
The Truth
The truth is…
The sneaker kept me going when life knocked me down.
The stiletto taught me how to rise and never accept less again.
The sneaker grounded me in healing.
The stiletto elevated me into power.
One taught me how to endure.
The other taught me how to demand more.
And neither one is wrong.
Integration
What if we’re not two people in one…
But one woman with range?
A woman who can be both comfort and edge.
Both grace and fire.
Both healing and power.
Because a sneaker alone doesn’t always get you where you want to go.
And a stiletto alone doesn’t always support you when the road gets hard.
But together?
You become unstoppable.
You know when to stay grounded.
You know when to rise.
You know when to move quietly…
and when to make noise just by walking into the room.
So… Am I the Saint or the Sinner?
No.
I’m the sneaker and the stiletto.
I am the woman who healed—
and the woman who refuses to ever be broken again.
I am the softness that forgives—
and the edge that remembers.
I am both.
And for the first time…
I’m not trying to choose.
